Masks from the Peking opera

I’ve just come across a great blog called BibilOdyssey – BooksIllustrationsScienceHistoryVisual Materia ObscuraEclectic Bookart – proclaims the strapline and it’s a dragon’s hoard of gathered treasures.

I found it because of an Album of portraits from the Peking Opera (Qing dynasty, 1644–1911). Strange and beautiful; worth exploring.
